Why hello there! I am so happy you’ve found my little corner of the digital world. Allow me to introduce myself – it’s why you are here after all?
My name is Belinda, a Pacific Northwest native who has called North Wales home for 10 years with my husband Neal and our two dogs Murphy and Max. My life abroad has allowed us to take wonderful adventures in Wales, around the UK and throughout Europe.
When I first moved to the UK in 2012, I dove into the world of blogging to connect with fellow expats and to keep everyone back home updated on our life in Wales. I found myself getting burnt out with chasing my tail of sponsorships, link ups and coming up with the next great content idea. I closed my laptop feeling creatively as dry as the Sahara Desert.
However, even when I wasn’t writing for a blog – I’ve been telling stories in my head this whole time – which reminded me of what I missed about those OG days of blogging: the storytelling of tales of our travels. Bringing readers along on our adventures and mishaps was always so core to what I loved about blogging.
I’ve launched this blog ‘Postcards from Auntie B’ as a nod to the tales I would one day want to share with my niece Lulu, and my friend’s children. I’ve realised to these young kiddos, I am in fact the crazy auntie that lives half way around the world, who goes on random adventures and lives to tell the tales.
Might as well live up to it, right?
